Partnering with FNESC
In partnership with the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC), NRT supports two initiatives designed to help First Nation youth complete their high school educations.
New Paths for Education: This initiative supports math, science and reading initiatives in grades K-12. NRT support is used to purchase books and other learning materials, as well as for tutoring support, science fairs, and related activities.
Language Teacher Certification: The Developmental Standard Term Certificate (DSTC) program certifies Aboriginal language teachers within First Nations’ communities.
These two programs are administered by FNESC. To learn more, visit the FNESC web site.
