NRT Foundation Announces 2018-2019 Scholarships & Bursaries!

April 10th – The New Relationship Trust Foundation (NRT Foundation), in partnership with New Relationship Trust (NRT), is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2018-19 Scholarships and Bursaries will soon open to First Nations students in British Columbia (BC)!

NRT, the founding partner of the NRT Foundation, has committed $600,000 this year to provide the following Scholarships and Bursaries:
  • $20,000 for Doctorates
  • $10,000 for Masters
  • $5,000 for Bachelors
  • $2,000 for Certificates, Diplomas, Associate Degrees, and Trades Bursaries
Additional funding has also been secured from our funding partners that include the Province of BC, First Nations Healthy Authority, and additional partners are still coming in.
Indigenous Early Years Scholarships & Bursary Awards
The NRT Foundation and the Province of BC are proud to introduce the Indigenous Early Years (IEY) Scholarship & Bursary program. Interested and eligible Indigenous students should apply to the Indigenous Early Years Bursary program. NRTF is pleased to offer IEY Scholarships and Bursaries to students who currently reside in British Columbia and are enrolled in Early Years Education programs. The First Call for submissions to the Bursaries starts Tuesday, April 17, 2018, and the Second Call will start Thursday, August 13th, 2018.
IEY Award Eligibility:
Indigenous: First Nations, First People, Metis and Inuit people of Canada. Those who identify as Indigenous persons who are residents of British Columbia are eligible for the Indigenous Early Years Bursary Program in areas of study that align with early years professions including early childhood education, early intervention therapies and supports, and other para-professions.
