Education

NRT currently supports two funding initiatives in partnership with the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC).

New Paths for Education

Funding is available for communities to support math, science and reading initiatives in grades K-12. NRT support is used to purchase books and other learning materials, as well as for tutoring support, science fairs, and related activities.

Language Teacher Certification

The Developmental Standard Term Certificate (DSTC) program certifies Aboriginal language teachers within First Nations’ communities.
