Direct Support

Direct Support funding is intended to help First Nation communities build capacity in the areas that they need it most.

A total of $1.5 million has been allocated for direct support in 2013-2014. Funding is available in two streams:

• A maximum of $25,000 per project is available to individual First Nations
• A maximum of $50,000 per project is available to groups of three First Nations who are collaborating on a capacity building initiative.

First call of Direct Support funding is now closed. Applicants will be notified by email by the start of June.

 Second call of Direct Support funds will be available in September 2013.
